Work starts on South Devon College’s Energy Centre

Construction work has begun on South Devon College's Energy Centre, based on the Whiterock Business Park in Paignton. Gordon Oliver, Mayor of Torbay, cut the turf to start the building following the approval of £2.5m ERDF funding.

Plans to offer financial incentives to homeowners installing renewable heat technologies, such as biomass boilers and solar thermal panels were launched by Greg Barker today. The Climate Change Minister also published proposals to expand the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme for commercial properties to include air source heat pumps for the first time.
